Miguel “Honcho” Wood wears many hats—some of them quite stylish. By day, he’s a respected Enterprise Cloud Solutions Architect and published Microsoft Press author, specializing in Artificial Intelligence (AI) and large-scale data solutions. By night, he’s the lead singer of HONCHO The Band and Crossroads Moonshine, rocking out classic tunes with a modern twist.
A third-generation U.S. Army veteran, Miguel spent six years as an Airborne Infantryman during and after the original Gulf War. His military precision translates well into his tech career and entrepreneurial ventures. He studied Electrical and Computer Engineering at Louisiana State University (LSU), with minors in Mathematics and Computer Science. Rumor has it, he can still solve complex equations while strumming a guitar.
Miguel’s passion for music extends beyond his band. He writes, performs, and records original country music and has even graced the stages of Ireland multiple times. When he’s not busy with his full-time job, Miguel runs three other companies, ranging from security and AI technologies to audio-visual services. His entrepreneurial spirit is as boundless as his energy.
